ABQ RIDE’s Annual Luminaria Tour Returns for its 58th Year
ALBUQUERQUE – ABQ RIDE is continuing the Albuquerque Christmas Eve tradition with the Annual Luminaria Tour on Sunday, December 24th, 2023. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.
“ABQ RIDE is looking forward to continuing the 58-year tradition this year,” said Transit Director Leslie Keener. “Our team is working hard to make sure this is not only a fun and festive event, but a safe tour for all passengers.”
The tour is set for Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24, and begins and ends at the Albuquerque Convention Center. It works its holiday magic for 45 minutes as it goes through Old Town, the Country Club, and Huning Castle neighborhoods. Tour times are scheduled at 5:30 p.m.; 5:50 p.m.; 6:10 p.m.; 6:45 p.m.; and 7:05 p.m.
Riders are encouraged to arrive no later than 20 minutes before scheduled departure time. Parking is free at the Civic Center parking structure located at 321 4th Street NW. Free parking is also available for individuals with disabilities at the parking lot located at the northwest corner of 3rd Street and Marquette (just north of Civic Plaza).
For safety, ABQ RIDE asks tour-goers to please follow the designated signage to the Luminaria Tour.
Tickets for the Luminaria Tour will be available at luminariatour.com on a first-come, first-serve basis, beginning Friday, November 24, 2023, at 8:00 AM. Tourgoers will only pay a small service fee at checkout as bus admission is free with Zero Fares.
