We invite you to participate in our survey to provide valuable insights and feedback on the draft Albuquerque Citywide Composting Initiative. This initiative aims to promote sustainability, reduce waste, and foster community engagement through composting.

About the Albuquerque Citywide Composting Initiative:

The draft Albuquerque Citywide Composting Initiative, is designed to divert household food waste from landfills and  to compost. By stopping organic waste from going to landfills and instead converting it into nutrient-rich compost, the Initiative aims to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, conserve resources, and enrich local soils. Through inclusive outreach efforts and strategic partnerships, the initiative strives to make composting accessible to all residents, regardless of income or neighborhood.

What’s next? Weaving community feedback into the Initiative and finalizing the plan by October 2024.
