Trash, Recycling, and Large Items Will be Collected on City-observed New Year’s Holiday
Solid Waste Facilities Will Be Closed on New Year’s Day.

The City’s Solid Waste Management Department will collect trash, recycling, and large items on Monday, January 2, 2023. All three convenience centers, Montessa Park, Don Reservoir, and Eagle Rock, will be closed on New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1, 2023. All three convenience centers will reopen from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, January 2. The Cerro Colorado Landfill will also be closed on New Year’s Day, but will reopen on Monday, January 2, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Montessa Park Convenience Center, 3512 Los Picaros Rd. SE
- Cerro Colorado Landfill, 18000 Cerro Colorado SW
The main administrative office at 4600 Edith NE will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3.
ACT (household hazardous waste) at 6137 Edith NE will be open on Monday, January 2.
