Trash, Recycling, and Large Item Collection Adjusted for New Year’s Week
The City’s Solid Waste Management Department will not collect trash, recycling, and large items on Monday, January 1, 2024. The collection changes this week will impact all residents within the City of Albuquerque one day later as follows:
- Monday customers will be serviced on Tuesday, January 2
- Tuesday customers will be serviced on Wednesday, January 3
- Wednesday customers will be serviced on Thursday, January 4
- Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, January 5
- Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday, January 6
All three convenience centers, Montessa Park, Don Reservoir, and Eagle Rock, will be closed on New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, 2024. All three will reopen from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The Cerro Colorado Landfill will also be closed on New Year’s Day, but will reopen from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2.

- Don Reservoir Convenience Center, 114th St. and Central SW
- Montessa Park Convenience Center, 3512 Los Picaros Rd. SE
- Cerro Colorado Landfill, 18000 Cerro Colorado SW
The main administrative office at 4600 Edith NE will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2.
Safety-Kleen (household hazardous waste) at 2720 Girard NE will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2023 and will reopen on Wednesday, January 3.
