Holiday Craft Fair to Highlight Talented Senior Artisans
ALBUQUERQUE— The Department of Senior Affairs is encouraging Albuquerque residents to kick off the holiday season by shopping local at this year’s Ageless Artisan Craft Fair, which is being sponsored by Presbyterian Health Plan, Inc.
The event will take place at North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shoppers are invited to discover unique, one-of-a-kind items crafted by over 50 senior artists such as tin art, woodwork, ceramics, photography, mixed media, jewelry, and more.
"We created the Ageless Artisan Craft Fair to help showcase the amazing talent and artistry of Albuquerque’s older adult community," said Anna Sanchez, Director of Senior Affairs. "We're grateful to our wonderful community partners for helping make this holiday tradition a yearly success.”
“At Presbyterian Health Plan, we know that creativity and the arts have a positive impact on overall wellness and we’re honored to partner with the Department of Senior Affairs to support senior artisans and their work,” said Jessica Sanchez, Director, Presbyterian Health Plan Place.
This year’s event will also include food trucks, live music, and family-fun activities. Admission is free and open to the general public.
