2025 AARP Tax Assistance
Information on AARP tax assistance is available below. Space is limited.
Before your Appointment
Starting on January 27, 2025, please go to the location where you made an appointment and pick up a packet of forms at the front desk. Be sure to fill out the forms before your appointment begins. If you cannot pick up the forms ahead of time, please arrive at your appointment 30 minutes before your scheduled time.
For married couples, both spouses must be present at the appointment.
Please do not make an appointment at more than one location. If you cannot make it to your appointment, please cancel or reschedule.
Documents Needed for Tax Preparation
Please bring the following information to your appointment:
- Driver’s License or State Issued Identification Card (including spouse)
- If you applied for identity theft protection from the IRS or were a confirmed victim of identity theft, the IRS Identity Protection PIN mailed to you in a CP01A notice
- Copy of your last year’s tax returns
- Social Security Cards for all individuals listed on tax-return
- W-2 forms for wages
- Forms including 1099-INT (interest); 1099-DIV (dividends); All 1099-R (retirement); SSA 1099 (Social Security Benefit Statement); All 1099-B (stock sales) and you must have the basis (what you paid) for all sales including mutual funds, which you can get from your broker; W2-G (gambling winning); RRB 1099 (railroad retirement); and any other 1099 forms
- Forms reporting income such as jury duty, election work, alimony, etc.
- Medical expenses – make a list with totals
- Any Form 1095-A, B, or Cs
- For ages 65 or older, property tax bill and/or rent receipts

All Tax-Prep is by Appointment Only. The dates and hours listed below are specifically for tax preparation services. For assistance with online appointments, please call 311.
