Albuquerque Police Department Records Division

Please contact records personnel at 505-768-2020 for the payment process, total charges to expect and how to obtain reports. 

• You can request a copy of an APD police report or background check in person.
• There is a fee of $0.50 per page for any report and a flat fee of $5.00 for a background check.
• If you request a report by phone,

-You are able to receive the status of an APD police report

-You will be prompted to send in your payment by mail before the requested report can be sent to you.

• Along with your payment we recommend you include the report number, your contact information, and the mailing address, or email address you would like the report to be sent to; once we have received and processed your payment.

• When requesting a report in person, we accept cash and checks payable to the City of Albuquerque. We cannot take bills larger than $20.
• Some restrictions may apply and the customer will be directed to the City Clerk’s Office to request an IPRA.
