Program Description
Owners of unwanted guns have a safe and secure disposal option. All firearms and ammunition are accepted.
For all firearms that are turned in require a government-issued photo identification.
The firearm must be unloaded when it is brought to the crime lab.
Residents will need to call to set up an appointment as the crime lab is not accepting walk-ins for firearms and ammunition disposal to the Metropolitan Forensic Science Center -- also known as the Albuquerque Police Department Crime Lab -- 5350 2nd NW.
