Suspect Arrested after Firing at Couple in their Driveway
Miranda Gilbert, 30, has been identified as the woman who pointed a gun at a couple in their driveway and then shot at them as she fled the scene.
The incident happened Sunday, August 20, 2017, around 10:30 a.m. near Comanche and Wyoming.
A couple came home to find the unknown woman in their driveway. The woman said she was looking for her Aunt Mary.
When the couple confronted her, she threatened the man with a gun. She then fled the scene in an older, white Toyota Camry.
As the offender drove away, she fired one round at the couple almost hitting the man's wife.
Tips from news broadcasts, social media and the Department's Facebook page helped identify Gilbert. APD truly appreciates the community's help in getting this offender off the streets.
Gilbert was arrested in Anton Chico, New Mexico late on Monday, August 21st.
It was a collaboration of the US Marshalls Service, Adult Probation and Parole Office, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and New Mexico State Police.
