Metro 15 offender Uvaldo Avila, 37, has been arrested.

Avila has been identified as an offender who continuously commits crimes in the community.

On Saturday August 14, 2021 Uvaldo Avila was arrested by New Mexico State Police and was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Avila was wanted for Kidnapping, Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Receiving Stolen Property, Aggravated Battery, Unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon, and Use of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Metro 15 Operation is a targeted component of Mayor Keller’s Violence Intervention Program – a proactive effort to attack violent crime from all sides. The Metro 15 is a working list of top drivers of crime in Albuquerque. Since the programs induction, 68 offenders have been arrested.
