Four Drug Dealers Arrested in Southeast Albuquerque
Brian Rodrigues, 37, Juan Lopez, 50, Joseph Savage, 26 and Michael Jojola, 35, were arrested for trafficking Heroin and Methamphetamines in the Southeast Area Command.
The Albuquerque Police Department Central Narcotics Unit was conducting two separate investigations in May due to an increase of drug trafficking in the Southeast Area Command. These investigations stemmed from feedback from the community. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned of four individuals who were dealing various illegal drugs in the area.
On June 4th, Brian Rodrigues was located in the 100 block of Grove in possession of a stolen vehicle. He was also found to be in possession of Heroin and Meth. Rodrigues was arrested and booked for Possession/Trafficking of a Controlled Substance and Receiving/Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
Detectives also identified Juan Lopez as a primary dealer in the area of California and Cochiti Rd. Furthering their investigation detectives learned that Joseph Savage and Michael Jojola were supplying Lopez with Heroin, Meth, Marijuana and prescription pills.
On June 5, 2017, Lopez, Savage and Jojola were all arrested and charged with multiple counts of Possession/Trafficking of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy. All three are repeat offenders who have long arrest records in Bernalillo County.
The APD Narcotics Unit is working hard to get these individuals off the streets. The community feedback we are receiving is helping us pinpoint problem areas and make arrests like this possible. We want to thank the citizens of Albuquerque who are watching what occurs in their neighborhoods and reporting these observations to the police.
