APD investigating homicide in Foothills neighborhood

ALBUQUERQUE – APD homicide detectives are investigating a shooting death at a home near Juan Tabo Blvd., and Central Ave. N.E.
Officers in the Foothills Area Command responded on July 12, 2023, shortly after 7 p.m. to reports of a shooting at 208 Maxine St., N.E.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male who had been shot. The victim died at the scene as a result of his injuries. One person was detained, but later released, while homicide detectives investigated the shooting.
The case is under investigation.
