APD Investigates Fatal Traffic Crash

ALBUQUERQUE - The Albuquerque Police Department’s Motor Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a pedestrian that occurred about 12:30 p.m. today at 12805 Hayley Ct. N.E., which is near Tramway Blvd. and Indian School Rd. N.E.

More details will be released following the preliminary investigation.

UPDATE:

On October 1, 2021 at approximately 1252 hours the motor unit was called out to a fatal crash located at 12805 Hayley Ct. NE. During the investigation it was learned a female was struck by her own vehicle. The victim was pinned underneath her vehicle. She received significant injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. It appears she attempted to exit her vehicle while the vehicle was in neutral. It appears the vehicle started to move backwards, knocking her to the ground where the vehicle rolled on top of her. This investigation is ongoing. It does not appear speed was a factor for the crash. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor for the crash.
