APD Homicide Investigation Update

ALBUQUERQUE – APD’s Homicide Unit released an updated synopsis following a preliminary investigation of this morning’s homicide:

On August 27, 2021 at 7:09 a.m., the ShotSpotter system identified a shot fired call in the area of 443 Texas St NE. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a minivan at 443 Texas St NE, facing southbound with broken glass from driver’s window. Upon approach, the officer discovered a male sitting in passenger seat with trauma. The officer initiated Rescue and checked for a pulse with no response. Rescue responded and concluded the male deceased and did not transport.

This is an ongoing investigation.
