APD detectives arrest man wanted for shooting, carjacking at North Valley plasma clinic
ALBUQUERQUE – Detectives with APD’s Investigative Support Unit tracked down wanted gang member, Richard Baca, and arrested him for the Sept. 14 shooting of a man at a North Valley plasma clinic. Baca was also wanted for two armed carjackings related to his getaway after the shooting.
Robbery detectives identified Baca, 39, as the suspect in the non-fatal shooting on Sept. 14 at CSL Plasma, located at 6211 4th St., N.W. He was charged for the shooting and related carjackings on Sept. 18.
ISU detectives tracked Baca this afternoon to the area of Central Ave. and Florida St., S.E. Baca attempted to flee when officers contacted him, and they used force to take him into custody.
Baca was booked tonight into the Metro Detention Center on his warrant.
