APD, DEA arrest yields firearms, ammunition, narcotics
ALBUQUERQUE – On January 3, 2024, APD officers with the Central Narcotics Unit and Southwest Field Services Bureau along with the DEA arrested Gegumby Bibbings after information was received regarding continuous drug trafficking. Undercover detectives had conducted several transactions for meth and Fentanyl with Bibbings directly from his residence in the southeast area command. Based on these transactions, a search warrant was granted for Bibbings’ residence. The search warrant yielded the following results:
- 2 sawed off shotguns
- 1 9mm pistol (Reported Stolen)
- Magazine for pistol
- 35 rounds of 9mm ammunition
- 10 rounds of .22 caliber ammo
- 13 Grams of Methamphetamine
- Fentanyl
- Counterfeit $100 bill
- Approximately $1,501.00 cash
- 1 stolen APD shoulder patch
Bibbings was booked on state level charges.
