APD Connects Woman to Additional Fitness Center Theft

APD detectives have charged Angelique Silva in connection to another case that happened in December of 2023.  

Late last month, APD released a warning for residents about a thief who was targeting fitness centers across the Albuquerque. Angelique Silva, 43, was identified as the suspect in multiple cases. Silva was targeting fitness center locker rooms, stealing items such as credit cards, vehicle keys and in some cases the victim’s vehicle.

An arrest warrant was issued for Silva and she was taken into custody on March1, 2024. Silva was originally charged with the following:

  • Burglary (x8)
  • Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle (x4)
  • Felony Larceny (x3)
  • Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card (x3)
  • Theft of a Credit Card (x3)
  • Criminal Damage (over $1,000)
  • Misdemeanor Larceny
     

APD Burglary detectives were able to connect Silva to a similar case that happened late last year at a fitness center in northwest Albuquerque. Additional charges on Silva include:

  • Burglary
  • Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle
  • Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
  • Theft of a Credit Card
  • Larceny
  • Conspiracy (x5)
