APD Arrests Wanted Murder Suspect

ALBUQUERQUE – APD detectives tracked down wanted murder suspect Trey Bausby late Thursday in the area of Central Ave. and Tramway Blvd. N.E. Bausby was arrested and booked this morning into the Metro Detention Center.
Bausby is accused of fatally stabbing Jessica Benavidez in January. He cut his court-ordered ankle monitor on Tuesday and fled custody.
“We quickly put resources in place to track this dangerous suspect down and get him back into custody,” APD Chief Harold Medina said. “Our detectives did a great job.”
