APD Arrests Teen in Mass Shooting from May

APD detectives today arrested 15-year-old Adam Herrera in connection to the May 14 shooting at the Aspen Ridge apartments that resulted in gunshot injuries to 5 people, including a 17-year-old female.

APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit identified Herrera as a suspect in the shooting. He was arrested this afternoon and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center where he was booked on his felony warrant.

A search warrant was conducted on his apartment. A 9mm shell casing was located, along with several rounds of 9mm ammunition. One 9mm hand gun ammo magazine was located and a case to a fire arm was located. No firearms were located.
