APD arrests murder suspect following Crime Stoppers Tips

ALBUQUERQUE -- APD detectives arrested18-year-old Domenic Manuel Mora based on Crime Stoppers tips that were reported today.
Mora, 18, is charged for the murder of his uncle, Daniel Trujillo.
Mora was involved in a dispute with family members on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, when he allegedly shot Trujillo. Mora’s grandmother told detectives that Mora admitted to shooting Trujillo, her brother. Family members said Mora stated, “I guess I’ll just go to jail, I just shot Dan,” before fleeing the residence at 7814 Rainwater Rd., S.W.
Officers later located Mora’s vehicle, which was unoccupied. The vehicle was sealed and towed while detectives got a search warrant. A judge approved an arrest warrant.
APD detectives detained mora this evening.
