APD arrests Metro 15 offender

Albuquerque Police Department detectives have arrested Metro 15 offender Christopher Young, 30, for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Mr. Young is a Metro 15 offender who has been identified as an individual who continuously commits crimes in the community.
On March 17, detectives were able to locate Young after getting a tip he was back in the Albuquerque area. Young was taken into custody without incident.
Young has a criminal history including convictions for the attempted transportation of a narcotic drug sale and felony narcotic drug possession for sale. The District Attorney’s Office has filed a preventative detention motion due to the violent nature surrounding his charges.
The Metro 15 Operation is a targeted component of Mayor Keller’s Violence Intervention Program – a proactive effort to attack violent crime from all sides. The Metro 15 is a working list of the top 15 violent crime offenders in Albuquerque.
