APD Arrests Man on Top 10 Shoplifting Offenders List
ALBUQUERQUE – The Albuquerque Police Department Organized Crime Unit has charged Brian Robinson, 47, an offender on the Top 10 Shoplifting Offenders list.
APD Detectives were investigating multiple copper theft cases at the Savory Bar and Grill, Eubank Medical Center and Robertson and Sons Violin Shop. Detectives were able to connect and identify Robinson through video surveillance footage from the businesses. Robinson caused more than $100,000 in damage and theft.
An arrest warrant for these cases was completed and he is being charged with the following:
- Larceny (over $20,000)
- Criminal Damage to Property
- Conspiracy to Commit a 2nd Degree Felony
Robinson is currently in the custody of Quay County and they have been notified of the new felony charges and arrest warrant.
APD’s Top 10 Shoplifting Offenders list is a part of the department’s initiative to flag prolific offenders in specific crimes to assist the District Attorney’s Office in successful prosecution.
