APD Arrests Antique Shop Bandit and Top 10 Burglary Offender
ALBUQUERQUE – Detectives with the Albuquerque Police Department’s Burglary Unit have charged and arrested David Johnson, 55, on the department’s Top 10 Burglary Offender List.
Detectives began working a serial burglary case targeting businesses throughout the city including:
- Old Town Antiques
- U Neek Findings
- Lil’s Collectables
- Antique Specialty Mall
- Jackalope
- Summit Electrical Supply Store
- McDade-Woodcock Inc.,
- Thomason Stone Supply
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gym
Through the investigation, detectives identified the offender as David Johnson known to officers as he’s on the Top 10 Burglary List. Johnson was further identified through photo arrays and with the assistance of witnesses.
Johnson has been charged with Larceny (over $20,000)(X3), Larceny (over$2,500)(X4), Larceny (over $500)(X2), Non-residential Burglary (X7), Criminal Damage to Property over $1,000 X3, criminal damage to property under $1,000 X3, receiving stolen property (under $250) (X5), Receiving Stolen Property (over $250), Larceny (under $250) (X1).
David is in custody and was rebooked on his new warrant.
