APD arrests 6 drunk drivers during sobriety checkpoint

ALBUQUERQUE – APD’s DWI Unit with assistance from the Motors Unit conducted a sobriety checkpoint at Broadway Blvd SE and Coal Ave SE from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.

In all, 296 vehicles went through the checkpoint and officers identified and arrested 6 drunk drivers, made 1 misdemeanor arrest, and screened and tested an additional 4 drivers.
