APD Arrests 38 Offenders in 11th Anti-Crime Operation
Nov. 29, 2020
APD completed its 11th city-wide, Anti-Crime Operation, resulting in the arrest of an additional 38 offenders. A total of 450 offenders have been arrested since the start of the operations in August. Officers also recovered 2 firearms and 4 stolen vehicles.
The Anti-Crime Operation was conducted Nov. 21-27, 2020, as a joint operation between the Field Services Bureau and the Investigative Bureau.
A total of 45 outstanding warrants were cleared, and 13 new felony arrests were made. Two people received citations, rather than arrests, for minor misdemeanor offenses. APD is working with the Metro Detention Center to reduce the number of arrests for minor misdemeanor offenses as a result of recent increases in COVID cases.
