APD Arrests 33 Offenders in 10th Anti-Crime Operation

APD completed its 10th city-wide, Anti-Crime Operation, resulting in the arrest of an additional 33 offenders. A total of 412 offenders have been arrested since the start of the operations in August. Officers also arrested two homicide offenders and recovered 13 firearms and 5 stolen vehicles.

The Anti-Crime Operation was conducted Nov. 17-20, 2020, as a joint operation with officers and detectives from the Field Services Bureau, Investigative Bureau, and the Special Operations Bureau.

A total of 30 outstanding warrants were cleared, and 13 new felony arrests were made. Three people received citations, rather than arrests, for minor misdemeanor offenses. APD is working with the Metro Detention Center to reduce the number of arrests for minor misdemeanor offenses as a result of recent increases in COVID cases.
