ALeRT Offender Arrest: Merissa Ybarra

ALBUQUERQUE – Albuquerque Police Department officers arrested Merissa Ybarra 34, for outstanding felony warrants.
Ms. Ybarra is an ALeRT offender who was identified by a multi-agency program that tracks offenders who continuously commit crimes in the community.
On September 30, 2021 an APD officer was patrolling the area of 2001 Menaul when they observed four subjects loitering on Circle K property. After speaking with management, all four subjects were asked to be Criminally Trespassed, and officers came into contact with Merissa Ybarra who was sitting on the property. It was confirmed Ybarra had four outstanding felony warrants, and was immediately placed into custody.
Ybarra was transported to the PTC without further incident. Ms. Ybarra has two felony arrests for Receiving or Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Aggravated Fleeing from a Law Enforcement Officer.
Ms. Ybarra has been booked into Metropolitan Detention Center. She will appear before a Metropolitan Court Judge in the near future.
As part of the Analysis-Led Recidivism Team (ALeRT), the Albuquerque Police Department collaborates with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, Rio Rancho Police Department, New Mexico State Police, New Mexico Probation & Parole, the FBI and the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office to achieve a high rate of prosecution in addressing community concerns of crime and disorder.
