Crime Prevention Pop-Up

The Albuquerque Police Department brings crime prevention to your neighborhoods!

Join the Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers to bring crime prevention pop up events to Albuquerque neighborhoods and parks all summer to make crime prevention information easily accessible, build stronger community connections and create an opportunity for you to share your concerns.

APD's Crime Prevention Unit has an assigned Crime Prevention Specialist in each area command of the city. The Crime Prevention Specialists offer tons of FREE information on how to attempt to prevent crimes that may be affecting your home, business or neighborhood.

The Crime Prevention Pop-Up events will include the following: 

  • Crime Prevention booth with general crime prevention tips
  • VIN etching for vehicles
  • FREE wheel locks for Kia and Hyundai vehicle owners  
  • Neighborhood Watch Sign-Up 
  • Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers
  • APD Recruiting

Command staff and officers from the local area commands will also be present and available to speak with and share any concerns you may have in the area.

The first Crime Prevention Pop-Up event is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
