On May 29, 2023 shortly after midnight, field officers in the area of downtown Albuquerque heard gunshots coming from the area of 7th Street and Copper Ave. Once on scene, officers found one male with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The male was transported to UNMH where he was pronounced deceased.
