On July 4, 2023, at 0050 hours, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department were dispatched to the area of Kathryn and Columbia in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival officers realized the driver of the vehicle had what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
