Description

Why not start 2025 with more love and companionship in your life? The Animal Welfare Department (AWD) is celebrating “Bark in the Meow Year” on Friday, January 10 through Sunday, January 12 at the city shelters.  The adoption fee is waived for all pets.

All adoptions include spay or neuter, a pet tag, microchip, vaccinations and one free initial vet visit. AWD is also offering one session of free basic dog training with every adoption. Our adoption counselors can share insights about the pet you’re interested in to help you find the perfect match.

Krispy Kreme’s is supporting AWD’s shelter pets by offering one free dozen donuts to new adoptive pet parents.

AWD encourages everyone to join them in this New Year by supporting shelter pets through adoption, fostering, volunteering, donations and advocacy.
