Open Bike Clinic

Open Bike Clinic is a scheduled time in which the center is open to the general public. Anyone who attends has use of the shop's workstations, tools and used bicycle parts needed to repair their bike. Clinics are available at the West Mesa and Mckinley locations. Be sure to make your appointment at the correct location.

All of the spare parts that are available to Open Bike Clinic patrons are donated from cyclists in the community and all of the mechanical work is performed by the bike's owner with instruction from the staff at Esperanza.

Open Clinic Program Guide

  1. Make an Appointment
  2. You Are Responsible for Your Repairs
    • Our goal is to educate folks, so we will teach you how to repair your bike, but the work will be done by you, at your own risk.
    • We do not guarantee that you will finish your project by the end of the session.
  3. Are the Bicycle Parts Free?
    • Yes, the donated parts we provide are free to Open Clinic participants. Parts will be functional to the best of our knowledge, but are used, so check parts carefully!
    • Your assigned Mechanic will help you with any needed parts or supplies.
    • All parts must be installed on your bike before leaving the shop.
  4. Is That Bike Safe?
    • Esperanza staff may refuse to help with a bike whose frame has been cracked, catastrophically damaged, or otherwise deemed unsafe to ride.
  5. Leave Your Work Space Clean
    • Please clean up your mess!
