Description
These paintings are inspired by drawing the unique gestures of the cottonwood trees, associating them as graceful dancers in a ballet of moving light and shadow. My experience deepened with rich aromas of the leaf carpet, the way the scents evolve through seasons, identifying birdsongs, listening to rustling of grasses as secretive animals forage under cover, and the distant heralding calls of migration. Stretching wings, watchful, motionless gazes are felt from the overhead canopy. The breeze creates currents on the river, gives the forest flickering of gold or silver, sends a leaf to soar, adds the music. I’m bathed by sublime beauty, gratitude, the connection to this world, and resets of my heart.
As always, thank you for your interest. May your path be full of delight and discovery!
