Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Announces Extended Friday Night Hours at Four City Pools
The City of Albuquerque’s Parks and Recreation Department today announced it will extend Friday evening hours at four of the City’s outdoor pools beginning Friday, June 15, 2018. Hours will be extended at the Sunport Pool, the Wilson Pool, the Rio Grande Pool, and the Sierra Vista Pool.
City of Albuquerque to Close East Mountain Open Space Properties Due to Fire Danger
The City of Albuquerque’s Parks and Recreation Department announced that open space properties in the East Mountains are closed as of Friday, June 15, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. due to extreme fire danger. These closures are in conjunction with those announced earlier this week by the Sandia Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest. These properties will remain closed indefinitely until the fire danger subsides.
Albuquerque Parks and Recreation to Begin Offering Pickleball Lessons
The City of Albuquerque’s Parks and Recreation Department offers pickleball lessons to Albuquerque residents for the first time.
GOLF: 2018 Men's City Championships to be Held June 29 - July 1
The 2018 Men's City Golf Championships will be held Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 1 at the Los Altos, Arroyo del Oso, and Ladera Golf Courses.

The bridge deck concrete has finished curing and it is time to apply the epoxy overlay!
Ladera Dam Trail Project Begins May 14
Crews will be repaving the trail, and earth work will be completed on the dam.
Summer 2018 Registration for Swimming, Tennis Begins Monday
The City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department today announced that registration for summer swimming lessons, swim team, and tennis will be offered online this year. Online registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23. In-person registration for swimming will be available beginning Saturday, April 28 at 8:00 a.m. In-person registration for tennis will begin Monday, April 30.

Proposed Municipal Golf Course Greens Fee Increase
The City of Albuquerque, acting through the Parks and Recreation Department, is intending to increase the green fees by $1.00. The proposed new rates would take effect April 15, 2018.
North Diversion Channel Bridge Detour
The North Diversion Channel Bridge will be temporarily closed for renovation. A detour route has been set up for trail users.
