Neighborhood Sign Program

The Office of Neighborhood Coordination (ONC) administers the Neighborhood Sign Program on behalf of the City Council.

PLEASE NOTE: Neighborhood sign requests are not guaranteed. They are contingent upon fund availability and final approval from your City Councilor.

The Neighborhood Sign Program is administered by the Office of Neighborhood Coordination (ONC) on behalf of the City Council. The ONC works with the Department of Municipal Development (DMD), City Councilors, and recognized neighborhood associations across Albuquerque to help choose appropriate neighborhood sign designs, installations and maintenance. Neighborhood signs can provide a sense of pride and ownership for neighborhoods, and allows neighborhoods to take a more active role in promoting association membership and benefits.

The Neighborhood Sign Manual was finalized by the ONC and the City Council Office in September 2020, and was updated in August 2024 to reflect a more streamlined application process for neighborhood associations. The updated Manual reflects approved sign designs and safety additions to the signs.
