Alert: October 31, 2022 Deadline For Public Student Loan Forgiveness
Important deadlines are coming up October 31, 2022 for the federal Public Student Loan Forgiveness program. People who have federal student loans and work in public service, government or nonprofit jobs may be able to get their student loan debt waived with Public Student Loan Forgiveness.
To make sure you get credit for all eligible payments for PSLF, you must access the PSLF Help Tool on the Federal Student Aid website by October 31, 2022. The website is https://studentaid.gov/pslf/
Even if you have certified your employment for PSLF before or you’re not sure if you qualify, you should complete the Help Tool to make sure you are on track and qualify for the limited PSLF waiver.

Note: the application for the One-time Federal Student Loan Debt Relief of up to $20,000 is also open on the Student Aid website, but that application will still be open after October 31st.
