City of Albuquerque on 2-Hour Weather Delay

City of Albuquerque non-essential services are on a two-hour weather delay with facilities opening at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024.  People are encouraged to limit travel and avoid driving. Residents who must drive should use extreme caution and drive slowly. City road crews are out salting major thoroughfares.  

City of Albuquerque essential services that are open the entire day include 311 and public safety departments.  

ABQ RIDE and Sun Van Bus Schedules & Conditions  

City transit services will be delayed until 8:00 a.m. This includes a temporary halt to bus routes, ABQ RIDE Connect, and Sun Van services. 

The Customer Service call center will not be impacted and opens at 8:00 a.m. The public can call 243-RIDE during standard operating hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. for questions, concerns, and customer support. See Say app reporting remains available during the delay if the public has safety concerns at bus stops or at transit facilities.

Solid Waste Collection  

Collection for commercial businesses will begin at approximately 7:30 a.m. while residential collection will begin around 8:30 a.m. Residents are encouraged to download the free Recycle Coach app to receive updates on trash and recycling collection scheduling and weather delays.

Traffic Incidents and Crashes  

Dangerous driving conditions often result in an increase in traffic incidents to which APD and AFR are prepared to respond. Many minor crashes also occur that do not require APD or AFR. We ask those residents to call 242-COPS or go online to report a crash.
