Engineering
The Engineering Division of the Department of Municipal Development is made up of two (2) sections, the Design Section and the Storm Water Management Section.
Design Section
The Design Section of the Engineering Division is charged with developing the City's major construction projects from start to finish. The Section provides professional engineering services for publicly funded Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). Responsibilities include the planning, design and construction of infrastructure as it relates to roadways, bridges, bicycle and pedestrian amenities, and storm drainage.
The Design Section functions as the project manager by overseeing the design process. It also functions as the custodian of good engineering practice in the city through design review, preparation of the project's construction documents, and procurement of the contractor for construction.
