Senior Affairs Associate Director and Mayor's Liaison Alan Armijo

Alan Armijo brings over three decades of experience and leadership to his role of Associate Director for Senior Affairs.  Prior to his current position, he played a pivotal role in City government as Director of Constituent Affairs, where he consistently forged strong relationships locally as well as globally. His extensive experience in the public sector includes serving as both a County Commissioner and City Councilor. Armijo was born and raised in New Mexico and is an alumnus of the University of New Mexico. He is a longtime educator, having worked for many years as a teacher in the Albuquerque Public School system. In addition to his Associate Director role, Armijo also serves as a Public Liaison to Mayor Tim Keller, helping to drive positive change, leveraging his experience, knowledge and relationships for the betterment of the Albuquerque community.
