Managing Attorney, Office of Civil Rights and LGBTQIA+ Liaison Beckham "Beck" Rivera, JD

Beckham (Beck) Rivera (he/him) joined the City as the Managing Attorney for the Office of Civil Rights in January 2023. Before then, he worked at UNM’s Office of Compliance, Ethics & Equal Opportunity for nearly three years, facilitating civil rights investigations and training. Beck’s background includes a wealth of work in LGBTQIA2S+ advocacy as well as legal private practice in the areas of domestic relations, guardianship, and child abuse and neglect. In Beck’s spare time, he enjoys playing music, exercising, and spending time with his family.
