Michael comes to the City of Albuquerque, after a 30-year career as a US Navy Officer. He also had a brief post-military career as a satellite systems analyst in the defense sector. Michael brings a wealth of experience in crisis management, contingency planning, and focused decision-making. Michael holds advanced degrees and certifications from the University of New Mexico, the US Naval War College, and the National Defense University. During his military service, Michael has commanded warships, served with the State Department in Iraq, and with NATO in Afghanistan. Michael is also very experienced in leading and coordinating interagency, joint, and international crisis response operations. Michael’s interests include aviation, history, computer-based simulation, and world affairs.
