Sept. 12, 2020 Community Hall Newsletter
Hello Albuquerque,
I want to start by recognizing our city’s continued resilience from our fight against COVID to the unpredictable challenges that mother nature blows in this week, we see Burqueños step up for one another every single day. This week, I saw and heard stories about neighbors helping neighbors clean up the mess left behind by strong winds and the dedication that City employees showed, working late hours and in the cold weather.
This is the way that we face our challenges in Albuquerque - together. We also came together this week (virtually) to commemorate September 11 and all of the lives lost due to acts of hatred. I hope that we remember every day to keep the memory of the courageous first responders who sacrificed themselves and honor them by standing up for each other.
We know that there is a lot of work to be done, but we'll keep stepping up for our community from keeping our city healthy and clean to making boosting our local economy.
Stay safe and healthy, Albuquerque.
