Mayor Keller Recognizes Outstanding Community Members
Today, Mayor Tim Keller recognized outstanding members of our community with the Volunteer of the Month and One Albuquerque Awards. The celebration honored award recipients from June and July whose contributions and service have supported our city and helped those in need.
“These folks show us how many different ways there are to serve our community. Every volunteer is a part of what makes our city special,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “There are opportunities every day to get involved and give back to our city, and we’re ready to connect everyone to the service work that’s right for them.”
Impactful civic engagement can happen at any scale. Simple but effective actions in our neighborhoods can create significant change, especially when everyone gets involved. The City of Albuquerque is dedicated to connecting everyone with service opportunities in their neighborhoods. Partnering with various departments and community organizations, the City provides numerous avenues for people to make a difference. Whether it’s adopting a local bus stop, volunteering at an animal shelter, or assisting at a neighborhood library, there are countless ways for residents to contribute.
