Today, Mayor Tim Keller recognized outstanding members of our community with the Volunteer of the Month and One Albuquerque Awards. The celebration honored award recipients from the last three months, whose contributions and service have supported our city and helped those in need.
The following community members were recognized for their diverse contributions and work to support our city and those who call it home:
- Volunteer Award Recipients:

- One Albuquerque Award Recipients:

“Active civic engagement makes a meaningful impact on our city at every level,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “The actions taken by these individuals not only betters our community, but they also serve to inspire folks around them to join in the effort to make real, positive change for Albuquerque.”
“I just really have a passion for it,” said August Volunteer of the Month, Samantha Hernandez. “If anyone has the time to volunteer, I strongly encourage it because you gain so much out of it.”
The Office of Civic Engagement is now working with more than 30,000 active volunteers—part of the City’s commitment to connecting everyone with service opportunities in their neighborhoods. Partnering with various departments and community organizations, the City provides numerous avenues for people to make a difference. Whether it’s comforting those in a time of need, expanding educational opportunities, or fighting for a more sustainable future, there are countless ways for residents to contribute.
