Annual Cyber Security Awareness Training for City of Albuquerque Employees

Mandatory Online Cyber Security Awareness Training for all City Employees

The City of Albuquerque’s Annual Cyber Security Awareness Training ensures that every employee who uses City information technology assets is regularly informed of expectations concerning the safe and secure use of those assets.

The City of Albuquerque is constantly under attack by cyber criminals.  These attacks have become more advanced and targeted over time.  Cyber Security Awareness is a team effort.   It’s every employee’s responsibility to be vigilant. Employees must take precautions to protect themselves and the city’s information systems from attacks.

According to the FBI, in 2023 more than $45,000,000 were reported in losses due to cyber-enabled crime in New Mexico alone. The top cyber-enabled crime reported in the US was, by far, Phishing.

Each year, all City of Albuquerque employees are required to participate in The Online Cyber Security Awareness Training. The training will be accessed online through the City of Albuquerque Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) portal and must be completed by December 31st.

To access the course, go to https://learning.cabq.gov and log in using your City of Albuquerque credentials.
