This four-week training will help your team to learn to understand themselves and each other, to learn how to effectively communicate with each other, develop powerful team skills and better prepare for their future.
Course Curriculum
Day One - Effective Communication
Communication skills workshop will provide clear insight into communication. It is an opportunity to understand how communication works and how to communicate with confidence. You will identify what works about the way you communicate and what gets in the way of you being a more effective communicator. The workshop will provide tools and techniques to help you be more adept and self-assured.
When you complete this module you will be able to develop the ability to:
- Manage your assumption more effectively
- Know your own strengths
- How others may perceive you
- Become aware of body language
- Increase confidence
- Communicate with difficult people or situations
Day Two: The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
This module will introduce you to The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). The MBTI is a framework and a process that can help you confirm how you like to do things, your strengths and lifestyle. You will gain a better understanding as to why others communicate as they do and learn to adjust your own preferences to “speak their language” and build better work relationships.
When you complete this module you will be able to develop the ability to:
- Identify your own personality type preferences and the uses of the MBTI.
- Acquire a basic understanding of type concepts and how they influence our interactions.
- Learn to appreciate, value, and work with all of the sixteen personality types.
- Obtain skills on how to work through conflict that arises from type differences.
- Learn team action planning: Strategies for improving team communications.
Day Three: Team Building
Participants develop a heightened awareness of the significance in teamwork between co-workers. Learners will discover skills which facilitate teamwork.
When you complete this module you will be able to develop the ability to:
- Keep employees aligned with their purpose and goals
- Develop good working relationships between all members, giving them an experience of working with different team members
- Nurture shared problem solving and generating new ideas
- Introduce processes which will foster team collaboration
- Establish clear short-term goals
Day Four: Career Development and The Importance of a Resume
Employees understand the importance of a resume in today’s fast-paced and competitive job market. Your resume is the first impression that a potential employer will have of you, is going to depend on how you present your resume.
When you complete this module you will be able to identify:
- A well-constructed resume
- Resume formats and their functions
- Professional statement and its preparation
