Housing and Neighborhood Economic Development Fund (HNEDF) Plan Update
Housing and Neighborhood Economic Development Fund (HNEDF) Plan Update
The City of Albuquerque is engaging in a once in 10-year revision of the HNEDF plan. The plan provides goals, priorities and guidance for the Housing and Neighborhood Economic Development Fund. The fund currently includes $6.3 Million. The Plan is being developed under the leadership of the HNEDF Committee.
The purpose of the Community Outreach (link to Community Engagement Plan) process is to solicit feedback within the Pocket of Poverty (PoP) neighborhoods (detailed below) with respect to the following key questions about housing and economic development and to ensure the needs and interests of the community are considered in the update to the 2002 Housing and Plan.
Timeline
The Community Outreach Phase will focus on obtaining feedback on the following questions:
Housing
- What has been the impact of the HNEDF funds on housing in the POP since 2002?
- What are current needs within the POP for housing?
- What uses of the HNEDF funds in the next 10 years could make a significant improvement in housing supply and/or conditions?
Economic Development
- What has been the impact of the HNEDF funds on economic development since 2002?
