Spring Resource Fair Plants Seeds of Change
ALBUQUERQUE — As the weather warms up, the City, in partnership with Goodwill, is once again holding a resource fair at Gateway West, our city’s largest shelter, which serves up to 700 people each night.

Today, over 25 service providers had more than 1,200 interactions with residents.
“A wide range of services are offered at each resource fair, tailored to meet the unique needs of residents,” said Homeless Innovations Officer, Maria Wolfe. “I want to thank all of our strong community partners, who work tirelessly to uplift our unsheltered community.
Providers offered access to various services, including mental health treatment, access to substance use disorder treatment, veteran resources, food and SNAP benefit assistance, Medicaid and Medicare benefits enrollment, domestic violence support, employment training, job opportunities, housing resources, and more.
“Pathways out of homelessness often start with access to essential resources and support, including those offered today,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “We are meeting people where they are and offering the chance to take the next step toward reshaping their lives.”
Today, Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) participated for the first time as the new operator of Gateway West, also offering social, mental health, housing, and education services.
Goodwill Industries of New Mexico, a strong community partner, has co-hosted the last three resource fairs.
“Goodwill Industries of New Mexico is proud to sponsor this important event. Now more than ever, we believe that a hand up is necessary for many of our friends, neighbors, and communities,” said Melissa Stock, Chief Administrative Officer, Goodwill Industries of New Mexico. “Goodwill is proud to collaborate with all the amazing participating organizations who believe in offering the dignity of work and hope for a better future.”
Thank you to all of our community partners who attended.
