City Resources Give Families a Helping Hand this Summer
ALBUQUERQUE – Summer is here, and that can alter the routine that families create during the school months. While kids are out of school, the City is making sure folks continue to have resources and support to stay healthy and safe. Summer lunches are in full swing at over 75 locations across City parks and community centers, and there are more resources that families can take advantage of. While summer lunches help keep kids nourished when school is out, the City also has emergency food box resources and clothing banks being offered at Health & Social Services Centers year-round.
“Our families need to know they are supported all year long,” said Youth and Family Services Director Kata Sandoval. “Our hope is that we can always connect folks with the resources they need to keep them healthy and thriving.”
