The Environmental Health Department facilitated a series of public consultation sessions on the development of an overburdened areas map of Bernalillo County. Methods for data gathering, map generation, index calculations, stakeholder outreach and engagement were discussed. The development of an overburdened areas map of Bernalillo County is required by the Health, Environment, and Equity Impacts (HEEI) rule, NMAC 20.11.72 adopted by the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Air Quality Control Board in December 2023.
